Dr. Martin van Gemmeren - Board Member

Dr. Martin van Gemmeren born July 23, 1970, is a graduate mathematician. He began his professional career in 1994 as a research assistant at the University of Stuttgart. After gaining his doctorate he joined McKinsey as a consultant in 1996, becoming a partner for the Financial Institutions and Risk Management units as early as 2002. In October 2006 he moved to HSH Nordbank AG, where he became Head of the Finance and Risk units. One year later he became Head of the newly created Group Risk Management unit.

Dr. Martin van Gemmeren was appointed member of the HSH Nordbank Management Board with responsibility for the Restructuring Unit on November 1, 2009. He is also responsible for HSH Real Estate AG and HSH Nordbank Securities S.A. as well as for the branches in Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Paris and Amsterdam.
