From 1975 onwards he subsequently held various positions in the bank in Hamburg und Singapore before moving to Deutsche Bank’s Credit Risk Management unit in 1987. After several managerial positions in credit risk management in Frankfurt, Singapore and London, in 2000 he assumed the position of global head for Credit Risk Management Developed Markets (investment bank) in London.
From March 2001 until his departure from Deutsche Bank in late June 2009, he was deputy global head Credit Risk Management Real Estate in Frankfurt and London.
